Brivio
History
Founded in 1950, Brivio started out by servicing machine tools.
The company subsequently extended its machining operations then expanded into precision mechanical processes.
In the eighties the company began to specialise in producing vehicles for solid urban waste collection and transport. In subsequent years these products were rolled out and the Brivio brand and its products became one of the leading names in Europe in this sector.
In 2002 the Brivio Ecology Division became part of Farid, and proved to be a vital contribution to the Group, in view of its great experience in mechanical processes and machining and its know-how in the sector of waste collection equipment. The current production facility covers a surface area of around 55,000 sqm, with covered premises of 20,000 sqm. Within the Farid Group the Moro division handles production of all the doors for compacting machines, and many other semi-finished components, as well as constructing and assembling some special models of compactors.
Its level of excellence in precision machining and mechanical processing also bring in important out-sourcing contracts. The recent purchase of GBS, a company specialised in manufacturing semi-finished products for heat exchangers, also enters into this context.
